PRIVATE DOCUMENT SCANNER
A scanner without a document cloud to manage.
ScanFile keeps scanned pages, recognized text, edits, and exported PDFs on your device unless you choose to send, share, or save them somewhere else.
Your paperwork starts local
The ScanFile library is stored on the device. The app does not require a ScanFile account and does not upload document images or PDFs to a ScanFile server for its core scanning workflow.
You choose the destination
When you export through Files, Mail, AirDrop, Messages, or another service, that chosen app or provider controls the next step. ScanFile’s local-first design does not prevent you from using cloud storage; it leaves that decision with you.
- No ScanFile account
- No ScanFile document cloud
- On-device text recognition
- Local scan library
- User-initiated sharing
- Delete scans from the app
Analytics are separate from document content
ScanFile uses limited product analytics and attribution systems as described in its privacy policy. It does not intentionally send scanned document images, document text, titles, PDFs, or file paths to those analytics tools.
Read the complete ScanFile Privacy Policy for the current disclosures and controls.
Keep control of the file.
Scan locally, then decide where the finished document belongs.
